Saturday's Passage: 1 John 2:18-23

  1. This passage starts out a bit somber, but it makes me feel very grateful that I know the truth. I also find this passage very interesting because John tells us that ANYONE who denies Christ is the antichrist. That makes for a lot of antichrist in our world, not just one or two. Fortunately, we as believers have acknowledged Christ and therefore have the Father as well. It's very comforting to know this truth.

  2. What we do with Christ means everything. John basically says what we do with Christ is what we do with God. John mentions those who reject Christ as antichrists. Some of these antichrists came out from among the church. They were with the church for a bit, but they didn't stay faithful. John says if they don't hold to the truth the never really belong to us. What do we claim about Christ with our lives and our mouths? What we do with Christ means everything.
