Peter simply tells it like it is. We have to discipline ourselves. We've got to train ourselves to be holy. We've got to quit our old desires and embrace our hope in Christ. It's not easy to kill old habits. We've got to get our minds right, be willing to discipline ourselves, and risk all we have for the hope we find in Christ.
