Wednesday's Passage: 1 Peter 2:4-8

Here's a great passage, but Peter uses a building example here that can be confusing if you don't understand a few ideas.

First, a cornerstone is the first stone laid when building, and every other stone is laid depending on this first stone. The location of the building and the placement of every stone is based on the cornerstone.

Second, if a builder doesn't think a stone is the right size or shape he won't use it as a cornerstone.

Third, ask yourself what the holy building is. (Hints: Christ is the cornerstone and believers are the other stones.)

This is a cool passage so have fun and enjoy what God might say to us.
