"Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." Christ is more than any feast or ritual or ceremony. Christ "disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities." Christ brought "victory" and "forgave all our sins at the cross." We find hope all our hope in what Christ did, not in our ability to do good stuff. We do good stuff in response to the unbelievable hope, freedom, and forgiveness we have in Christ.
